The night before Christmas

It's the night before Christmas,
And filling my mouth

There's plenty of chocolate
headin' on South

Kaboot is out standing
All snug in his shed

With a thick coat of mud
from his hooves to his head

My children beseach me
to put them to bed

Can't you wait till it's dark?
For the 10th time I said.

And I in a ride-T
And Bill in his jeans

are just sitting down
to soak up this scene

The new kitten's leapin'
at ornaments hung low

The fireplace is warm
And they say it might snow

I don't want much this year
My tack is all grand

I've got two great children
And a near perfect man

I've won my first jacket
My horse is still sound

My computer has helped me
meet friends world-around

I hope they're all happy
I hope they're all warm

Hope there's hay and warm shelter
On every farm

Hope their prospects are good
for a great ninety-nine

They'll have time to condition
their shoes stay on fine

That their saddles fit smoothly
and their tendons stay tight

So best wishes to all
And to all a Good Night!
