winter weather

Well, with all this talk of really, really cold weather, I would like for the
Northerners to know that us here in the mid-atlantic states have finally felt
a bit of "Old Man Winter". Highs today hovered around 30, with windchill about
12F.  Freezing rain, which BTW is the worst IMO on the horses.  I brought them
all into the barn and took off their turnout blankets, the blankets were
frozen solid!  Anyway, all are tucked into their stalls, deeply bedded, with
lots of hay.
