Nura Passion is certainly not too old to be continuing her breeding career,
and Aunt Bee would still be a possibility, although a 21 year old is starting
to stretch it a bit, particularly since her last foal was way back in '84.

Bint Numi would be only 14 years old. That is far from being too old to start
a breeding career. (Unless, of course, she is deceased.)

Does Raf Silver Sonnet have any full or half female sibs? She was foaled way
back in 1974, but she could have been an early foal of a long-lived mare.

And who was Sonnet's dam and does anybody know anything about that tail female line?

Somebody should contact Melody Moser and let her know. Who knows, maybe old
Sonnet is still alive and deserves at least a good helping of carrots! And
there is also always the possibility of unregistered offspring.

On the % influence thing, remember that a zygote gets *all* of its mitochondria
from its dam's egg. The mitochondria contain DNA, hence all mitochondrial DNA
are inherited exclusively along the tail female line.

So what? Nobody knows, yet. Maybe nothing. But the mitochondria are the energy
factories of the cell...
