New Canadian AERC member

I purchased a money order to become an AERC member today. It cost me $85
Canadian even with the 35% new member discount.
I agree with Trish Dowling that other then the magazine we don't get
much for our membership.
I am a member of the Endurance Riders of Alberta and we have 10 to 12
rides a year. they are sanctioned by the ERA. If we don't go state side
I don't even have the option to ride in an AERC ride to begin to
collect miles.
I also am putting on a ride (100 mile only) May long weekend and having
looked at the cost of AERC sanctioning with the $10 charge for non
members it is not even a consideration.
At least I wouldn't have to deal with your LD problems.
I think the point I am trying to make is reading all the problems you
are having I am not sure I will mail my membership. AERC has also
approached Caldra about becoming the Canadian Sanctioning Board under
the blanket of the AERC. Scares me a lot.
