Re: A horsey hoot

Thanks again for this great song. It was always one of my favorites
when I was young. Tell your friend it's wonderful. I love talented
people.

Here's the rest of them which a friend wrote:

Oh Lord, won't you buy me
a Grand Prix equine.
Gray and Dover have their's,
Now I want one of mine.
I know all the cues,
I can ride that center line.
Oh, Lord, won't you buy me
a Grand Prix equine.

Oh, Lord, won't you buy me
a Secretariat clone.
From training these claimers,
I'm weary to the bone.
Triple Crown and Breeder's Cup,
I'm sure I would own.
Oh, Lord, won't you buy me
a Secretariat clone.

Oh, Lord, won't you buy me
another Gem Twist.
The first one's retired,
And he is sorely missed.
We'd win every class,
We'd make the short list.
Oh, Lord won't you buy me
another Gem Twist.

Oh, Lord, won't you buy me
a real reining horse.
I know all the patterns,
I won't go off course.
Our spins would be flawless,
Our stops, a tour de force.
Oh, Lord, won't you buy me
a real reining horse.

Subject: A horsey hoot

Oh Lord, won't you buy me
        A horsy that bends
My friends all ride warmbloods
        I must make amends.
I practice my leg yields
        Each evening 'til ten
Oh Lord, won't you buy me
        A horsy that bends.

Oh Lord, won't you buy me
        A horse that won't buck
I'm tired of trying
        To land standing up
I spend all my time
        Brushing dirt off my butt
Oh Lord, won't you buy me
        A horse that won't buck

Oh Lord, won't you buy me
        A horse that won't bite
I count all my fingers
        And toes every night
I feel like a carrot
        When I'm in his sight
So oh Lord, won't you buy me
        A horse that won't bite.

Oh Lord, won't you buy me
        A horse that stays clean
I brush him, I groom him,
        I've considered chlorine
His color's too chestnut
For a horse with gray genes
Oh Lord, won't you buy me
        A horse that stays clean.

Oh Lord, won't you buy me
        A horse with some guts
This spooking and shying
        is driving me nuts
And while You are at it
Make me less of a klutz
Oh Lord, won't you buy me
        a horse with some guts

Oh Lord, won't you give him
    some hindquarter drive
This horse is sooo lazy
    not sure he's alive
We bend and we circle
    'till way, way past five
Oh Lord, won't you give him
    some hindquarter drive

Lynne,
I loved you're song. Will be singing all day Thanks to you.
