NW rides and landowner protections



Maryben, if I may make a gentle correction to your statement that "in
California private landowners cannot be sued for injuries which occur
while they allow someone to use their property..."  
     People can be sued for ANYTHING, especially in California!    What
CA.  state Civil Code No. 846 does,  is to  prevent  people from
COLLECTING!     You are correct, there is a very broad array of sporting
and recreational usages that are named, and you are correct, there are
specific (three) exceptions that void the protection of 846.   One,
however, is not so far-fetched:   if a private  landowner accepts payment
for use of his land for these sporting ventures, 846 ain't gonna help
