going down in the float

I had a mare that used to scramble and fall down all the time in my
trailer. It's a two-horse, narrow, throughbred size. It turns out she
was slipping on manure. When I kept it nicely covered in a couple of
inches of shavings, she was able to stand up. Hope this helps.
