Honeycomb pads

We don't a lot of work on hard ground down here in the sand and when we go
from here to a ride with a lot of hard surface, e.g. the OD, then I worry.
The horse I am riding now can't wear Slypners - too much shaping involved.
Equithotics tend to wear down on him - he wore a pair off in 40 miles on a
ride in Utah last summer.

My farrier was telling me about these "honeycomb pads". He has been using
them for a while and likes them much better than shocktamers. Does anyone
have any experience with these pads?
