Real men don't wear half chaps!

Seriously when I starting to ride Jordy, I had to get a saddle to fit him
(what's new). The saddle I had ridden Misty on for was built for her - a
16-2 mare. The bars were just too long for this 15-3 Arab. I ended up
with an orthoflex express and had it retrofitted with the new panels
(shorter and farther from the saddle),

Those little leather things over the buckle were rubbing hide off my leg
and the two inch biothane leathers were bugging my old shin splints. I
knew half chaps would solve the problem but I did not look forward to
riding in in rain in half chaps.

So I get a full saddle sheep skin "seat saver" made for my saddle which
solved the shin splint problem and at the advice of Steph, I rigged a
fleese cover for the lether sleaves. This combinations works so well that
I even ride in running shorts in the summer!

Happy New Year to you all.
