My arabian Prism, 11 does not feel well after I finish riding. He stiffens up in the hind end and throws his head like he has a stomache ache. He NEVER looses interest in food, he'll eat hay the entire time. Also his pulse rises from 48 to over 90. This happens even after a 3 mile walk/trot ride. After an hour he feels fine and runs with the other horses. He has over a 1000 end. and comp. mile and hs never had a metabolic problem before. This has happened after the last four times I have ridden. I would appreciate any answers and information or other sites that anyone has. Thanks.
