Bermuda is the primary "horse hay" available in these parts. You'll also
find alfalfa. There are all sorts of "mixes". Some component grasses are
the above, oat hay, "native", clover, lezpedeza, johnson and fescue,
etcetera. At our ranch, we steer clear of fescue as it has been proven to
cause a number of problems for pregnant mares. Purchased by the
bale(generally 60# bales, but varying 55#-75#), costs range from $2-3.50,
depending on the time of year, the supplier, quality, etc. Email us off
