Yes, interesting! In the last couple of weeks, I've noticed that Lakota
has developed a bare-ish spot on his back where the very end of the saddle
lies. Suddenly the hair is being rubbed off, though I've been riding him
with the same saddle & pad since I bought him in February. There doesn't
appear to be any soreness. I use a fleece-covered foam pad
(Sherpa-Fleece for Aussie saddles) and have noticed that the fleece is
also rubbed off that one spot, so that now the bare net foundation is
rubbing on his skin. Would a new pad solve the problem, or is this
actually a saddle fit problem? Since he is sooo short-backed, I've begun
to wonder whether this saddle is simply too long for him, but I really
don't wanna buy a new saddle right now! (well, let's say I don't want to
PAY for a new saddle right now :) Any opinions?
