The new saddles have a different design. (lots of people had trouble
with the stirrup hangers coming loose from the fiber glass tree). There
is now a strap that runs across the top of the tree, so the weight of
the loaded stirrups is supported across the entire tree, not just 6 screws
on each side of the tree. This is a brand new design, so I'm not sure
how it is road testing. Seems like a great improvement though.

John,
So, your stirrup fell off!. Well the stirrup holder on my OF broke - had to
be replaced. - my expense, I might add. Now the new one, which is brass, I
guess,
shows wear marks where the buckles on the stirrups leathers hit it. In 50
years of riding, I have never seen wear marks on stirrup bars, until I got
the OF. I suppose that is my fault too - standing in those stirrups again.!
