Ditto. I once fed my horse too soon and too much grain at a ride and ended up
with a colic. He was stressed and his gut semi-shut down. Unfortuantely, I
was green and so was the treatment vet who oiled him and made the situaltion
worse. When the oil came back up out of the horse's nostrils, I panicked and
took him to New Bolton Center (30 minutes away) and all they did is pump out
his stomach and put him on IV fluids for the night..cost me over $1000.
Needless to say, I did NOT pay the treatment vet who was in errors in his
treatment. A stress colic is FAR different from an impaction colic.
