There is an excellent article in the Chronicle of the Horse I just received today regarding the formation of the Equestrian Land Conservation Resource. The Chronicle (and the article) are on-line at www.chronofhorse.com. To summarize briefly, the ELCR has been adopted as a program by The Conservation Fund to assist horse people in their efforts to save local lands of value for present and future equestrians. All distance riders who value the public land they ride on may find this article of interest.
