I have found the CRI to be a vey useful tool. As any other tool we riders
have it needs to be taken in individual context. It's really important to
start using it regularly on conditioning rides so you know what is normal
for your horse. A horse may "pass" by returning below criteria, but it may
not be as low as experience has taught you is normal for that horse. I
have also seen cases where a too LOW heart rate can be a signal of
