No Joe, your wrong. The road/pavement is "suspended" on bridges of this
type. I need an engineer to explain. The horses spine was not developed
(evolution) to carry weight. The point the rider was making was that the
horse was not designed to carry weight but it is capable to carry
weight, as you pointed out.
