Are there any special considerations? Any styles better than others?
Would a cheaper saddle at this stage to just as well or ...? I have
been thinking of a more expensive used saddle for less. Any thoughts on
a way to approach this.

Don, Styles are individual preference. Novices appreciate how the Australian
saddle has close contact to the horse, yet helps to correct an imbalance. It
was designed in Australia by men who put our 3-day event riders to shame,
chasing wild herds down the mountain, and through the trees! Fit to the
horse is crucial. Used saddles are still around $1000. as they have a life
of 30 years, and haven't been in this country long enough to have flooded the
market, as others have. Judy
