Glenda,
We have a 3 horse slant load trailer with large window sections that can
either be opened (by sliding a small window) or dropped (by pulling the
lever and dropping the whole window "cube"). There are windows at their
heads and rumps, as well as one in the back door. This allows for a alot
of variation in air flow. Also, yes I would put rubber mats in. They add
traction (and probably comfort) for the horses.
