I have a 12 year old TB that is a nightmare to fit saddles. We have bought and sold many nice, well-made saddles. We've brought in saddlers, trainers, and vets/chiropractors, to check/re-check saddle fit. Everytime, the saddle fits at purchase, but depending on her fitness level the saddle fit changes as her back muscles develop or loosen after a absence of exercise. She is long back-with a broad, flat wither, which has contributed to the problems with saddle-fitting. The most commom problem there is often a slight bridge between the saddle and her back--it is so slight it's hard too notice, but nevertheless, causes pain.

She does well if I ride her bareback. She's very comfortable with that, and because of my situation, I am seriously considering a sport saddle. It seems to be the only other option I have.

I live in W. Michigan, if anyone in this area who currently has a sports saddle who also would be willing to let me trailer my horse over to try -- it would be really appreciated! BTW, she is current on vaccinations and has a neg. coggins certificate.

Please e-mail me privately, if this would be convenient.

Thanks,
K. Nolan
