It was a gorgeous weekend - sunny, 60's, slight breeze on Saturday - and
foliage was at it's peak in the Western Mountains of Maine. The trail was
dry - except for a brief section of woods where we did run into some of
Maine's famous black mud! This was the first Crooked River ride that I
have done where I did not have to share the trail with a moose! The
horses that finished looked like they could go another 60 miles.
