Prorating a $65.00 membership isn't so much an issue with me as is
the $65.00 in the first place. Since I probably won't ride more than one or
two rides a year, I can't see the benefit. I COULD and WOULD, however, pay
up to $40.00 just to "try" the magazine and some (perhaps limited -- i.e.
non-voting) membership benefits.

If there were enough "associated" members willing to pay for a
"limited" membership (including insurance for two rides a year??) perhaps
the economic crunch would be eased.

If I keep current with each of the sanctioning organizations (ADS,
ECTRA, SEDRA, IAHA, USCTA, etc.) required for equine sports in which I enjoy
dabbling, I could have paid for a lot of horse shoes!
