Fort Valley ride/ Borium nails

Hi campers,
I wish I could read the last digest #652. I can't open it because it's too
big??? I am not computer literate and don't know what to do about that (or
mime stuff either). There was an interesting thread about hard/easy rides
which is timely for me. I intend to do the Fort Valley ride in a few weeks. I
am a Fl. girl with a Fl. horse who trains in alot of sand. I am wondering if
any of you would like to share their experience with this ride. We will be
getting some acclimation to the terrain as we will be at Valerie's for the 2
weeks prior to the ride.
Also, my farrier asked me to ask you what your experience has been with
borium nails. He has the "fast track'??? made by mustad and thinks that may
be preferable to using regular borium. I would take some extra nails in case
we wear it all off by the time of the ride. Or does this happen? Or do you
use borim at all? Oh, I will probably go with heartbars (making borium a
must??) and pads with siicone. Any better ideas?
Thanks in advance!!!
