Is there a truly waterproof blanket

If there is a truly waterfproof blanket I have not been able to find same.

However if after an endurance your find your horse standing out in the
cold rain here is a solution that will work for a horse that is tied or
confined is a very small area.

Take a thin cotton sheet and put on horse. Cut open a very large plastic
garbage bag so it is as long a possible. Put the now plastic sheet on the
horse. Then put another thin cotton sheet over that. The sheet next to
the horse will stay dry. The sheet on top of the plastic gets wet but
holds the plastic in place. I have had to do this many times and it
works. I was afraid that the horse would get too hot but so far they have
just been warm and dry.

Remember this is not for pasture turn out just for thoes times it starts
raining and your hores is tied or corralled next to your trailer.

Sure beats having them stand and shiver under a waterproof blanket that is
not.

Good riding to all!
