My 6yo gelding has been diagnosed with lower ringbone arthritis. The
last few weeks he absolutely refuses to give me a L lead when I ask. His
ringbone is in his L front. Could his arthritis be bothering him to the
point it hurts too much to be on that lead.

He is also off at the trot as well, but tends to warm out of it after
time.

My question is this: Should I stop riding him til he van use both leads
so I don't overuse one side?
