I was always wondering wether horses have an understanding of WE when we're
riding them. Of course they do think "we" in a herd situation with other
horses, but what exactly happens between horse and man? Can/will a horse
accept a human being as a herd partner/leader and how do we know when we've
achieved this ultimate goal (maybe when we're not getting stuck in trees
anymore....?) Trainers like J.Lyons show us that it's all not that difficult,
but I'm still sceptical since my guys will most likely let me stand in the
middle of nowhere if everyone else (horses, in that matter) takes off.
Any ideas/stories out there?
