I bought a horse this spring that frequently drops his head and goes behind
to evade the bit. I have changed bits many times and have gotten him into
one that he likes the best, but he still exhibits the other behaviors,
especially when he wants to GALLOP and I prefer him to canter! He has a
little flap of skin on his bars that "pinches" into his teeth with most
bits. People have suggested that I try a hackamore on him (which I still
might) but I am unfamiliar with the sidepulls. What are they, how do they
attach, how do they work?
