Put a red lens or a red piece of plastic over your flashlight lens. This will
allow you to see easily yet will not ruin your night vision. It takes appx
thirty minutes to regain night vision once it's been "flashed" by "normal"
light. As for how it affects horses (your flashlight)..heck, "they" can't
even decide whether horses can see color or not. I am convinced all animals
see color, but the experts keep telling me I am wrong. So how come when my
husband wears day glo orange hunting gear, he never gets a deer???
