....my Equine Chiropractor out because my horse is sore in his
back well she looks at my Dressage saddle and told me that it was one of the
best fitting saddles ever. ......now here is my question.........what about
my
Dressage saddle for endurance? It fits well and so far it seems
comfortable.
My only concern is, will it distribute my weight evenly over his back for a
long period of time? I am only 5'4" and weight 115 and have riden Dressage
for 7 years so being able to handle myself in a saddle like that is like 2nd
nature. So, my question is are they any of you out there riding in a
Dressage saddle, or have any of you know if it's possible to ride in a
Dressage saddle for endurance?

I've been doing all my conditioning in my dressage saddle for about a year,
as I am slowly and carefully engaged in the great endurance saddle hunt. I
am at this point tempted to call the manufacturer of my dressage saddle to
see if they make a more forward seat style, because this saddle fits! Never
a dry spot, no refusal to go forward due to pressure on the bars, no nasty
anything! Will be in the dressage saddle next weekend for the 25 at
Manzanita. Its drawbacks are more from a rider's POV. Going down semi steep
hills at a trot (10 to 20 degree slopes) my knees are out over the front of
the saddle!
