Using Heel Wedges on Low Heels

I have a horse with diagnosed lower ringbone arthritis on his front L.
His front right has a lower heel than the L.

We just completed our first 30 miler this season with a little off-ness
at the finish. We wore easy boots on the fronts because we were in rock
and gravel most of the time. I noticed that the L easyboot was more worn
than the R.

Could the low heel on the R be causing the heavy wear on the L? That
sounded reasonable to me. When we got home, I had the farrier reset his
R front put a 2 degree wedge on his heel.

Over the past 10 days since that adjustment he has been slowly going
more-off on his L front. 2 days ago I was doing arena work and it took
me 45 minutes to get him to take his L lead consecutively.

I finally put 2 and 2 together and maybe got 4..... that I may have made
a booboo in my reasoning with the heel wedge. I haven't been training at
all hard and other than the change in the shoeing I can't find a reason
for his off-ness.

Anyone had experience with heel wedge adjustments?

Thanks in Advance,

Susan and Sabian (Can't wait to get this wedge off my front foot)
