Russian horses make EXCELLENT endurance horses! We owned the straight
Russian *Muscat son SAVOY DSA, whom my husband rode over 1000 miles. He
was fabulous, but I'll have to admit that huge trot was tiring to ride! He
sired big colts, and several endurance people bred their mares to him.
My husband is currently riding a MAG son out of a MUSCAT daughter who is
also destined to be a great one, tho he is very tall and lanky...not as
much bone as a typical Russian.
We have several Russian horses, among them two Muscat granddaughters for
sale and a straight Russian Muscat grandson out of a Menes daughter for
sale. They have very powerful rear ends, wonderful gaits, and gorgeous
heads. The colt is huge, the mares will be or are 14.3 to 15.1.
Problem is, there aren't many Russian horses in the USA anymore :<
