Saddles that fit

Hi again:

Could not resist my two cents on this subject: Please note, I am not an
expert on the subject of saddle fitting nor endurance riding . What I do
know is, when a horse is soar from a saddle. 3 years it took me to find a
saddle to fit my type of horses and give me comfort. It is probably a
fault in my choice. No, withered horses, nice flat backs, you know the
type. It will acommodate a high withered horse also.

Finally we came upon the Bob Marshall saddles over the internet. The
treeless type (not really treeless, just different) It works for me and
the horse. Still have not received the saddle ordered over 12 weeks ago
(This is the only draw back)

In the meantime we ordered the one State Line carried. This was the round
skirt barrel. WOW. I can feel the horses movement under me. You can
really tell if there is tension in the back, or whether the horse is
engaging the rear end (the horses rear end), or pulling with the front
legs. (Don't know what all that means, just like the connection with the
horse. It teached me what you are talking about.) You can feel if the
horse is hunching its back etc.... The longest I have spent in the saddle
is 9 hours.
We were tirred, not soar)

The 2 we have are the Barrel, round skirt
Trail, round skirt still/ on order
Next is the endurance style.

This is not a promo for this saddle type. I like it for very simple reasons.

We will see if the life span of the saddle is equil to the traditional
ones.....
