No Frills Rides

Hey all, me again!! Yes, I have the post bug today!!:-)

Concerning no frills rides, yes, I would gladly go to a ride that is no
frills. I have no problems with no food served, cheap awards, etc, as
long as it's posted clearly in the ride flyer. For cheaper entry fee, I
will bring my own food, and we all know that most of the time it would be
cheaper to go and buy a T-shirt than it is to travel to a ride, pay an
entry fee, etc, etc, so the award is not the issue with me. As long as the
trail is well-marked, and the people are friendly and hospitable, then I
will be there if at all possible.
I have attended rides that were the high end of our costs in the SE
region, and the food was horrible, the prizes were ho-hum, and still I
paid the entry fee and had fun, so I guess it's all relative to how badly
you want to go to a ride!! In the SE, we don't generally have the option
of picking a ride on a given weekend. Sometimes there are no rides on a
weekend, and sometimes there are two on the same weekend. I generally
pick the one that's the closest to me, and go and have fun. Lately, I try
to pick the one that needs the most help. How's that for how to pick the
ride you attend? hehehe
