Hi - I was introduced years ago to PowerBars by a friend who is a
marathon runner. He had an article about the makers of PB. Apparently,
two friends who were runners had a common problem among marathoners: How
to get the right nutritional energy down - while running - and not throw
it up. They worked and worked on different mixtures in their kitchen
until finally "inventing" the PB for themselves. From their kitchen, it
has turned into a multimillion dollar industry.

There was another article years ago about a long distance bicycle racer
who held a broken piece of his bicycle together with a PB and completed
the race!

The way I keep my teeth is to cut the PB up with scissors into small
squares and put these in the endurance rider's best friend: the zip lock
bag! Also, don't chew, let it melt in your mouth. My favorite flavor:
Berry.
