At the Bully Wully, Jas was padded in front -with shock tamers, & oakum. We
had to pull at 40, with sore feet. She vetted with A's all day. After a 20
min. soak in the creek, she was trotting as though she hadn't gone out. No
swelling the day after.

She was re-shod 3 days before. Could this "soreness" have come in part - from
the recent shoeing?

Dory mentioned, that she had noticed more horses than usual for this ride,
coming in sore. The trails that were "road", were the hardest they've been in
years, due to our dryer than normal summer.

Though it was our 3rd pull, in two years - Jas didn't split & bleed at the
coronary, & it was the most miles completed to date! Now, if I don't see
cracks in 4 weeks - I'll consider it a major improvement milestone.

P.S. We were told that Butch's horse Khaz, who rec. a B.C. in the LD, was one
of the few that trotted out straight & completely sound. They are BOTH
sleeping in the Barn! :-)
