I just mentioned to my friend that I specifically read in the new
1997 July AERC rule book that these time DO NOT INCLUDE VET HOLDS!
But I know for a fact that some rides here in California HAVE included
vet holds in the total allowed time. You can see this by the completion
time listed for the rides in Endurance News. Some rides have included
vet check holds and some rides don't.

The rule book specifically states that ride time DO NOT include vet
holds.

I'm not sure I've attended a ride where the time has not included vet
holds... not that I've been a really active rider lately. Still, there
are an abundance of rides in my area. Is this going to actually take
affect?
