Different people like different things about different rides. There is
only one thing that I have heard that everybody likes...

A good, well-marked trail.

The rides I go back to year after year are those that have nice trails and
pretty scenery.

Everything else, as far as I am concerned is fluff.

If the trail is worth riding on for 50 miles...i'll go, again, and again,
and again.

If the trail and the scenery are boring, pretty much my attitude will be..

"been there, done that"

So I'll drive 10 hours to Bridgeport to do the Eastern High Sierra
Classic. That third day of Death Valley (Furnace Creek to Bad Water) is
BORING, BORING, BORING, and you would have to pay me to go out there and
do that again. :)

The only other selection criteria I have is..."is it close?" and "does it
fit into my schedule?"
