Hi there,

I just felt like putting in my .2 and giving the right spelling of my
riding friend's name, who came in second at the Swanton 100.....

Her name is Eilidh Grant, she is 15 years old and she is riding Jazon
Wonder's horses for nearly two years now. She is a great kid, caring for
the horse's health first and racing second. I have been told that there was
a time when Jazon got himself kind of a bad reputation for racing his
horses carelessly.......well, since I got to know him, he always comes home
with a consistency in BC awards and he just got one great horse nominated
for the ride in Oregon, Sep. 13th.
He learnt his lesson very well and he was able to teach Eilidh the right
way, as we were able to see at her last 100 (sure not her first one).
Talking about strategy, she was able to make up more than 30 minutes to the
front rider in the last part of the ride and she came in 8 minutes behind
Kathy Thompson (Congratulations to Kathy!!) on a strong and sound horse.
Best thing was that even though she did not win BC, Gyani looked great and
the next day he felt great!!!! What more can you ask for?

Allright, this is getting kinda long for just .2, isn't it? All of you have
fun on the trails and always give a black sheep a second chance when it
finally turns white......

(Point Reyes, having the chance to explore gorgeous trails after having to
get to know all kinds of dusty arenas!)
