Sounds like a really bad idea. It might be ok for team roping or penning
or some other short duty events, but I can't imagine how they could
possibly vent a neoprene saddle pad enough to prevent massive under-saddle
heat build up. It's just too much surface area trapping too much heat
moisture. Neoprene girths have worked well for me, but I'd never use
a neoprene pad, especially when there are fantastic non-heat retaining
pads like the Skito pad around.

My husband just ordered a One-Pad (Won-Pad?) from D Bar M in Reno. From
everyone he's been talking to, these pads are supposed to be terrific.
Apparently they are neoprene and something so that you can just hose them
off after riding and they are supposed to have some sort of venting system
that keeps the horse's back from heat build up. Also, they are supposed to
be really good at staying in place so you don't have to cinch them up as
tightly, too.

Any opinions?
