horny horses

Hi everyone! Thought an off the subject (any subject) post might be fun.
There was a lot of talk a while ago about Moyle horses and their "horns."
Well, they are in good company according to a book I just read. Bucephalus
may also have been horny. His name means "ox-head" - one explanation: he
had "the small bony projections that sometimes appear on the skulls of
horses and are known as 'horns.'" ("Horse Power," Juliet Clutton-Brock,
Harvard Univ. Press, 1992,p.106, quoting Lydekker, R, "The horse and its
relatives," 1912.)
Someone else can speculate of whether horny horses also have great sex
lives. Laney
