On the contrary, if anything Monty deserves more air time. He
is not out there to promote himself or put down other trainers,
but to educate horse people about what he's learned in his lifetime
*for the good of the horse*. And you would do well to listen to what
he has to say.

Monty would never imply that *everyone else* trains thier horses
by force. Infact, it was Bill Dorrance (Tom's older brother) who
encouraged him to continue with his gentle ways of training and
learning as much as he could. Monty's father was the tyrant.

If you have any questions about the man, read his book and attend
his seminars. If you get a chance, meet the man. He *is* doing
something different than other trainers. It's another piece of
the puzzle that we should all be working on and learning about.
He does not claim to have all the answers.

He also does not believe that burying horses in wheat is at all
a "horse whisperer" act... nor a non-violent form of "training".
Yet I do not remember anyone on this list complaining about that
clip being aired on TV.

In my short life I have learned that those people who are really
doing ground breaking work often are also those most critized.

http://www.montyrobert.com. Read the book, watch his video. Learn
what he's doing for the good of your horse.
