Someone told me they don't - they brand-brand them in that case

It has been 14 years since I freeze-branded. The Arab Registry used to
provide the serive. Now you have to find an independent. On grey horses,
they just use a longer time on the freeze-brand which kills hair follicles.
Therefore the freeze-brand is black..the color of their skin.
