I end up with the curb back on, I am not the only one around who thinks
its necessary and safe to use it (with sensitivity and soft hands).
Plenty of horses with fine training use them. >>

As I said . . .
To add to this, I have several friends whose horses go well in a curb, get
nasty in only a snaffle--these friends have chosen to simply ride in the
curbs rather than try to re-educate thier mounts. They are busy people who
bought broke horses so they might have a pleasant ride on the weekends, and
if they'd wanted to do horse training would have bought a baby. Could their
horses be re-educated? Probably. Are they commiting mortal sin by choosing
to just ride with the curbs? Not in my book--but then I realize life is too
short to be puritanical.

too, huh?")
