I have a gravity propane Furnace in my trailer. It is vented and is
permanently mounted in the wall near the floor. It is called a gravity
Furnace ( I believe) as there is not a fan to move the heated air around,
the air moves up as it is hot and hotter air rises. I think so, never got
above a C in College Chemistry or Physics. I like mine, When I get a new
trailer I will get another one, except I will get one with a different
type of Ignition. Right now I have to take the grill off, Open up the
little hole and stick a match in, all while holding down the button. Then
I
pray that the pilot will not go out when I release the button. Sometimes
a bad thermocouple or loose thermo couple will cause my pilot light not to
stay lit. Then I'm really pissed.
However, the only equipment you need for this type of Furnace is a
propane tank and the tubing for the gas to go through. It needs no
electricity. Pretty plain and simple. It does really well keeping us
warm and can go on several weekend trips before I run low on gas.
