Thank you, to everyone that sent Steve's letters. As you might expect I
received several copies. I really appreciate it. I seem to have spent
most of the year with the Tevis on my mine. It still seems to be on my
mine. Last time I spent put this much thought into something was in 1976
when my friend Nita Fiondella and competed in the "Levi Ride and Tie". We
entered it and completed it in ''76, ''77, and ''78. Nita also rode in the
Tevis for the first time this year, but she faired much better than I. She
did a real good job and finished 21st. I guess that any body that can add
can tell there are a few years in between these events. For my part it has
been raising a family, but I would say I have dabbled in Endurance riding
since 1972, but trying to get more serious, now that the kids are
raised.(Now they just think their Mom is nuts, a couple of them probably
wish I would just knit or something instead. Actually I can knit.) In
reality they are pretty supportive. My oldest daughter and her husband
flew from Boulder, CO to help crew for me at the Tevis.

Thanks again. Gail
