someone can help.

Our local Humane Society is in the process of filing court papers to
seize two abused horses, a QH mare and a QH gelding.

The owner of the horses has them tied out in a trash filled yard on
ropes. Both the horses have nasty rope burns on their legs. The mare
has the worst one, an encircling absessed mass of proud flesh and
infection that is really nauseating. She is obviously in pain and can
barely put weight on it.

The idiot owner has been putting LIME on these two horses. He thinks
that will help it to heal.

We need a notarized statement from a vet saying that putting lime on an
open wound is cruel and causes pain.

We aren't having much luck locally, this is down in the hills of
Appalachia, the vets have to co-exist with the locals and don't want to
go on record.

We just need the statement, any veterinarian who is kind enough to do
this for us will not be needed in court and will not have to come here
to testify.

Is there any one in the group who can do this for us? If so, please
send the statement to Shirley Beard, Highland County Humane Officer,
1550 Stone Road, Xenia, Ohio 45385.

You will be doing a couple of really nice horses a big favor.

Sue
