In a message dated 97-08-06 05:34:51 EDT, you write:

<< I also have her on a daily dose of C-Flex which is
chondroitin sulfate. She has one joint that is particularly bad due to a
previous injury. We gave her two cortisone injections directly into the
joint.

Can you put a price on your horse? I have already exceeded what I ever
thought I would do for her and I have not regretted a single penny of it >>
This is also a really neta subject for us, since we are still competing our
22 and a half year old Fadjur mare over LD rides and she has arthritis in her
right hip and her left shoulder. She also had HA injections in her hocks 6
years ago due to a total absence of synovial fluid in them. Although the
success of this therapy varies tremendously (somteimtes having to repeat it
monthly or even not suceeding at all!) we never had to repeat it at all, and
now she is on a sustained supplement of Dynamite, MSM and Select-brand "Flex
Free". She is working beautifully and is a credit to her own breeding and
pedigree. She is loose and sound and completed the tough malibu 30 this year,
as well as the tough Twin Oaks and Bear Valley last season. She is slated for
Twin Oaks again this season and will carry our 10 year old little daughter on
her first LD ride at Manzanita next month. This is to us a real testimony to
the products as well as this magnificent horse. So - try and try again until
you get a combination of supplemental products that give relief. our vet
staff concurred that to bec onservative with teratment is always best, and so
we started with quality feed and Dynamite and Flex Free, then added the MS
and she is just wonderful - for the past 6 years - better than she was then
by far. Also, the Chondroit product we use has anise and Yucca in it - this
is why we chose this product. good luck!
