Helmet visors

If you DON'T wear a helmet, you can hit the delete button NOW.

I ride with a Troxel with one of the plastic detachable visors. In a
fall this spring, the helmet visor was nocked loose and cut my cheek &
nose. (Try telling an emergency room nurse "No, for the fourth time, my
husband didn't hit me. It was a horse related accident".) I like
visors as they provide a little relief from sun glare.

I found a substitute that is great through a local biking store. It is
called Salamander bills. It is a stiff cordura visor that velcros onto
the helmet, much like the original equipment. It is a little wider
across the forehead, so you will add a little self stick velcro to the
edges of the helmet (comes w/ visor). It is a bit larger - much better
shade for my permanently pink nose. It is better glare protection. And
most importantly, it CRUSHES into nothing if I land on it.

They come in several colors. Mine's purple, Mike's is black. I believe
that there is a green & red as well.
