I was very sorry -- disappointed to see OMAN with Carolyn Tucker did not
make it around..
Someone sent me a fax from an article in the Auburn Sentail.. about OMAN..
going to try Tevis.. for the first time. and I think it was his first ever
100 miler too.. he did a few 50s..

My OMAN son ..OMNI is doing very well.. with conditioning and training..he
is getting fit .. and learning about trail things..
These Shagys are some other kind of horse.. real willing worker.. and will
take time to work out a problem.. he is a real pleasure to ride.. and since
he has 3 yrs dressage.. can he ever use his rear and balance.. really pushes
up those hills..
great HR and fast recoveries.. gives me a false sense of fittness.. rest
pulse 33
works 'light' and easy.. best horse I have ever had..

Our plan.. is Tevis in 4 yrs.. he will be 10 by then a good age to give it a
shot.

the OD is planned for him at 8 or 9..
Think positive and plan and work toward that goal..
if he continues as he is going now.. he will be super in a few years..
ALL slow work.. NATRC this year.. maybe a few slow 25 milers this fall..
then 50 miles all next year..

congrads to all the Tevis 'winners'

esp the gang from MD and VA

and of course Julie S.. 21 times right

hey Julie if i make it out there in 4 years.. you should be going for T25..It
would be great to ride with you..
Seems the East riders do quite well if they tag along with a Tevis pro..

Was great to read the posts.. Nice job ..
