REPLY TO 07/16/97 20:23 FROM ridecamp@endurance.net: neoprene girth attachment
of HRM electrode

Hi there, just thought I'd post to see if anyone has any additional
suggestions on how to attach my Polar HRM electrodes (purchased from The
Australian Connection) to my (relatively) new neoprene girth. Switched to
the neoprene girth after I gave my poor gelding a lovely matched pair of rub
sores a few weeks back (using our Woolback fleece girth that we've been fine
with up until now).

Tonight I went out and bought some adhesive-backed velcro and some glue-type
stuff to try to firmly affix it with, but if anyone else has had any
successes and wishes to share them - suggestions greatly appreciated!!

Thanks - Lynne

This should not be a problem. I use neoprene cinches on all my
saddles; my heart monitor that I got through Bob Walz came with a
webbing/velcro cuff that buckles around any cinch. It has patch
of velcro that the electrode sticks to. You can position it any
place on the cinch.....
